Best of tour 1972

Rainbow Theatre, 2-20-1972
"The Best Of Tour '72 - Restored"
Remastered From Original 1st LP Pressing

This historical recording captures Dark side of the moon in its earliest stage. no other recording available from the jan/feb 72 tour (in which dsotm was first performed) sounds as good as this. It has one ugly flaw (still) with the annoying cuts in Tr. 4, 8 & 11 but the music & sound is just too good to leave. This upgrade is by far the best sounding version of this recording of the few I have ever heard.

01. Speak to me (cuts in, only last 8 secs left)
02. Breathe
03. Travel Sequence
04. Time (cut within)
05. Home again
06. Religious Theme
07. Money
08. Us & Them (cut within, misses most)
09. Dave's Scat Section
10. The Lunatic Song
11. Eclipse (cuts off)

The Coming of Kohoutek - 1972

1972.02.20
In Celebration Of The Comet (The Coming Of Kohoutek) - LP Vinyl Transfer
Venue: Rainbow Theatre – London, UK

Many listings state the date of this performance was 1972.02.17, when reportedly the actual date was 1972.02.20.

Lineage: Audience (details unknown) > Original Vinyl (TAKRL 1903) > NAD 5120 turntable + Nagaoka MP-11 Cartridge > SP-2 Stereo Phono Preamplifier > CD Spin Doctor > aiff > flac level 6 > you. Sound quality is B+ or better.

This is a popular and widely circulated bootleg album from Pink Floyd. The performance featured a musical piece referred to at the time as "The Eclipse Suite," which would later become "Dark Side of the Moon."
Note the song titles: “The Travel Sequence,” “The Mortality Sequence,” and “The Scat Sequence,” which later evolved into “On The Run,” “The Great Gig In The Sky,” and “Any Colour You Like.”
I purchased this album in the 1970’s & with little wear it has maintained its luster, although some snap, crackle & pop exist. I did no post-transfer treatments. The center hole of the vinyl is a tad bit off center, which may add a bit of wobble.
I have provided 2 versions of this vinyl transfer. One option is Sides 1 & 2 without track other breaks. Another option is 10 individual track breaks. Scan composite of the cover is included also. Enjoy.

Side One (20:33)
01. Breathe
02. The Travel Sequence
03. Time
04. The Mortality Sequence

Side Two (20:45)
05. The Mortality Sequence (ends)
06. Money
07. Us & Them
08. The Scat Sequence
09. Brain Damage
10. Eclipse

Pink Floyd - Vegetable Man / Scream Thy Last Scream - 1967

Anno: 1967

Tracklist
Vegetable man
Scream thy last scream

Vegetable Man:
"Guitar Can be heard a little better"
"More Echo on Vocals towards the ending of the song'

Scream Thy Last Scream:
"Nick Mason or Syd Barrett could be heard coughing at 1:29 into the track"
"There is an extremely disturbing low-toned cry/moan at 4:13 in the track"

Notes by the uploader:
"A while ago, I met a guy name Saq who lives in Los Angeles who had a very nice record in his possession.
Saq had, what I believe to be the only known Acetate copy of "Vegetable Man" and "Scream Thy Last Scream" from 1967.
I tried desperately to obtain it from him but he informed me that he would only let it go for $10,000 US Dollars (CASH!!!)

I tried to stay in communications with him for more than a year and begged him to at least have the tracks recorded.
He agreed to do me the favor, and sent the Acetate to a professional studio in San Francisco to have the tracks
recorded properly.

After months of desperately waiting, he finally received his Acetate back along with the digital tracks.
Thankfully, the same day he picked up his record was the same day he sent me the magical tracks.

After more than a year of waiting, I finally got the tracks and now want to share them with all of you.
We are the real Syd Barrett crazies and we all deserve to listen to his art. There should be no discovery made
that ends up back in the vaults.
